Australian Social Trends 2010 contains an article on trends in the level of income support among people aged 15 to 64 years. It analyses the proportion of working age people receving selected income support payments, and provides a gendered analysis of recipients according to the type of payment and their age. The paper also analyses the experiences of income support recipients based on a range of socioeconomic measures including consumption possibilities, average weekly earnings, living with a partner and study status.
