This report considers the past, present and future of retirement incomes and expectations. It includes a comparison of labour force participation rates by sex and age from 1911 to 2009, average personal savings by age and sex in 2009, and the average earned income or personal wealth for different groups such as couples with and without children, and lone women under and over 65.
