Statistics for Victorian female secondary school students includes the number of full-time and full-time equivalent (full-time plus full-time equivalent of part-time) students by category of school (government, catholic, independent). Time series (1993 to 2008) of apparent retention rates from Year 7/8 to Year 12, Year 10 to Year 12 are also given. Retention rates for Indigenous secondary school student is available at the national level. The proportion of female teachers is also provided as is the ratio of teachers to students.   Further Info

The Senior Secondary Certificate Statistical Information provides various information about senior secondary certificate assessment for Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning and Vocational Education (VCAL) and Training in Schools (VETiS), undertaken as part of both certificates. Statistical information for Victorian women includes; VCE participation and completion status rates, VCE unit results, VCAL enrolments by certificate, and VCAL unit completions.  Further Info

This report details the percentage of Victorian female Year 7 students achieving the nationally agreed Year 7 benchmarks for reading, writing and numeracy. The percentages of Victorian Indigenous students achieving the benchmarks and Victorian students with a language background other than English achieving the benchmarks are also reported. The Appendix 1: Statistical annex of this report provides data relating to the percentage of Victorian female Year 12 completion rates by geographical location (metropolitan, provincial, remote) and socioeconomic status. This report contains the findings of the first national assessment of the ICT literacy proficiency of Victorian female Year 10 students.
