This report highlights some of the risky behaviour of Victorian and Australian women who are injecting drug users. It includes the number of accidental deaths of Victorian women due to opioids, the mean age of Australian women who are injecting drug users, and the number of Australian women who reported using a needle and syringe after someone else in the last month. Additional data is available on the maternal demographic characteristics as well as the neonatal characteristics of pregnancies to mothers with and without a drug-related diagnosis.
