This is a scale of non-specific psychological distress based on 10 questions about negative emotional states and is scored from 10 to 50. The survey data includes a self-assessed measure of the psychological distress of Victorian women by measuring the Kessler 10 (K10) score through a series of 10 questions relating to the women's level of psychological distress over a four week period. The K10 scores are grouped into classifications of less than 16 (low), 16-21 (moderate), 22-29 (high), and 30 and over (very high).
