This survey includes the contraception usage of sexually active Australian women in Year 10 and Year 12 at secondary schools. Data includes reasons for not using condoms, their beliefs about the condom use of their peers, unwanted sex, pregnancy and whether they discuss sex related issues with their partner. Data also includes their knowledge about HIV transmission and other sexually transmitted infections, and what impact alcohol has on their sexual behaviour.  Further Info

The Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health (ALSWH) includes the percentage of Australian women aged 28-33 who use contraception and the types of contraception used. Data includes the total number of years women have taken the oral contraception pill, whether the women have tried to obtain the emergency contraceptive pill (morning after pill) and whether they found it to be readily available.
