Contains data relating to the number of births for Victorian women such as total number of births, first birth statistics, age-specific fertility rates, sex-ratio of male babies to female babies, births to teenage mothers, median age of mothers for all births (within and outside of registered marriages), births where paternity is not acknowledged, and the number of previous children within the current relationship. This report includes the total number of children for Victorian women giving birth during the survey period. Data also includes pregnancy, birth and demographic data such as the number and percentage of women giving birth by maternal age, country of birth, remoteness, previous caesarean sections, duration of pregnancy, multiple pregnancies and method of onset of labour. Additional data available for Australian women includes the maternal age of first time mothers and the method of birth by maternal age.  Further Info
